Sean “Diddy” Combs has deleted all of his Instagram posts, including a video where he apologized for assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. This occurred after hotel surveillance footage of the incident surfaced in May.
On Thursday, his verified Instagram account, which has nearly 20 million followers, had all posts removed. Despite this, the account remains active, and his profile photo and bio are unchanged. Combs, 54, has not explained why he deleted the posts. However, TMZ reported, and Fox News Digital confirmed, that he wanted to reset his social media, a move he has made before.
Sources told TMZ that the deletion wasn’t aimed at Ventura or anyone else. Combs stands by his apology video, which received global media coverage. The removal of the video and other posts was not meant to undermine his apology. Insiders indicated that Combs’ decision to delete the posts was spontaneous and not coordinated with his team.
On November 16, Ventura sued Combs for physical and sexual abuse, but she dropped the case after an out-of-court settlement the next day. CNN released a 2016 surveillance video on May 17, supporting part of Ventura’s lawsuit against Combs. In the video, Combs was seen wearing just socks and a towel while he brutally beat Ventura in a Los Angeles hotel hallway.

Two days after the video was released, Combs shared an apology on Instagram, which is now deleted. He didn’t mention Ventura by name but stated, “It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that. I was f—ed up – I hit rock bottom – but I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video.”
Combs added, “I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now. I went and I sought out professional help. I got into going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry. But I’m committed to being a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry.”
