Russel Brand breaks silence after being accused of rape
In the wake of the recent wave of sexual misconduct claims that have surfaced against him this week, Russell Brand made a comeback to social media on Friday. He uploaded a three minutes, 19 second video on all of his sites.
He acknowledges the existing circumstance at the beginning of the video despite not explicitly addressing the claims.
“Hello there, you awakening wonders, “Obviously, it’s been an extraordinary and distressing week, and I thank you very much for your support and for questioning the information that you’ve been presented with.”
After thanking the audience, Brand spends the remaining time of the clip listing the topics he would be covering on Monday’s show. He states that due to recent allegations, YouTube has decided to demonetize his channel, and that this program will now largely be streamed on Rumble.

The Trusted News Initiative (TNI), a joint initiative by well-known international organizations such as the BBC, AP, European Broadcasting Union, Financial Times, Google/YouTube, Meta, Microsoft, The Washington Post, and others, is one of the topics that will be covered at the conference.
TNI aims to combat fake news and disinformation. Brand claims that TNI is trying to control his independent media outlet too much and suffocate it. In addition, he aims to discuss controversial topics including “deep state and corporate collusion,” the impact of the pharmaceutical sector, media ethics, and censorship.
In conclusion, he earnestly implores his followers for their support.
Brand’s response comes shortly after a big article by the U.K.’s The Times, The Sunday Times, and Channel 4 Dispatches in which a number of women accused the British comedian and actor of sexual assault and rape including episodes from 2006 to 2013. The effects were both quick and extensive.
The BBC has opened an internal investigation and plans to take down any material that features the comedian because, according to the broadcaster, it no longer meets public expectations.
His channel, which has 6.64 million members, has had its access to YouTube monetization suspended. The Metropolitan Police have received a new claim regarding an event that occurred in 2003, and Brand’s live comedy tour in the United Kingdom has been canceled.
The content of Brand has also been removed by other content providers, such as Paramount+. A report based on a new accusation from an unidentified victim, who claims Brand exposed himself to her while they were both working in the same Los Angeles building, was later published by BBC News. 2008 was the alleged year of this incident.
