Jonathan Majors set for a new movie
With scant consideration for the recent assault claims against actor Jonathan Majors, Netflix appears to be replicating Disney’s strategy. Contrary to first views, a recent remark from the director of “The Harder They Fall,” the popular Netflix western starring Majors, gently hinted at the prospect of a sequel while avoiding the contentious matter of recasting.
Jonathan Majors was charged earlier this year with numerous offenses, including misdemeanor assault, aggravated harassment, attempted assault, and harassment, all of which allegedly involved his ex-girlfriend.
Following these allegations, more people came forward to describe how Majors’ allegedly damaging actions affected them. As a result, Majors lost his legal counsel and support from the media, and he even found himself excluded from the Met Gala.

Majors has been the subject of a storm of criticism, yet Netflix continues to support the popular Western movie and its possible future. Fans of “The Harder They Fall” are curious about what the future may hold for the movie and its troubled actor while the streaming giant has kept quiet on the allegations despite the recent statement from the director hinting at a potential sequel.
On the other hand, Disney, who had previously cast Majors as a prominent antagonist for subsequent phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has made a critical decision to remain silent, refusing to make any public statements regarding the allegations.
It seems premature to draw any firm conclusions about whether Netflix will keep Jonathan Majors or openly address the ongoing controversy given that there is only one cryptic social media update to consider. In contrast, the director has gently suggested in another post that a prequel to the movie might be created, perhaps as a deliberate tactic to avoid dealing with Majors’ predicament head-on.
Fans who expressed their desire for a prequel focusing on Idris Elba’s outlaw group received lighthearted answers from the filmmaker, sparking rumors that Netflix would pursue this option to get around the Majors scandal. Once the project’s director, Jeymes Samuel, provides further information, the situation might become clearer.
