Producer Kevin Turen, known for his work on Euphoria and The Idol, died suddenly after a medical emergency while driving his Tesla. His 10-year-old son took the wheel and steered them to safety on a California freeway, as reported by tmz

It was disclosed that Kevin’s vehicle was operating on autopilot; his son needed to take over and move the vehicle to the side of the highway in order to dial 911. Kevin was taken to the hospital and declared dead.

He was survived by his wife Evelina and their two sons, Jack and James. Drugs and alcohol were not mentioned by Kevin’s father or friend, but the official cause of death is under investigation by the authorities. In a statement on Sunday night, Edward confirmed the death of his son.

Kevin, who was raised in Manhattan, attended Columbia University to study film before starting his career. In 2005, he made his feature film debut as a producer with Larry Clark’s indie film Wassup Rockers.
