One of the teachers who is suing rapper Kanye West over his Donda Academy claims that students at the school are not receiving the education they deserve. Cecilia Hailey, a former Donda teacher, is now cautioning parents, stating that students are falling behind academically. However, she also warns that simply transferring to another school may not instantly resolve the issue.
Cecilia expressed concern that the lack of grading at Donda, an uncredited school, could pose difficulties for students who wish to transfer elsewhere. She is worried about the students falling behind in their education and struggling to catch up. Cecilia and her daughter alleged that they were terminated from their teaching positions at Donda for speaking up about the school’s deficiencies, including citing race as a contributing factor.

According to Cecilia, Kanye may not be implicated in the school’s problems, despite being named in the lawsuit. In the suit, Cecilia detailed various issues with Donda, such as a shortage of chairs, locked front doors, and a lack of lesson plans. She also expressed dissatisfaction with the lunch menu, as sushi was the only item available.
Furthermore, Cecilia revealed that the curriculum at Donda notably avoids crucial subjects like the Holocaust, and shockingly, the school did not even acknowledge Black History Month.
