X-Men Star Adan Canto confirmed Dead.
Adan Canto, an actor known for his performances in US television shows such as Designated Survivor and films such as X-Men: Days of Future Past, died at the age of 42 from appendiceal cancer, according to his publicist.
Canto was the national security adviser on Designated Survivor, where he costarred with Kiefer Sutherland, and was praised by Sutherland for having “such a wonderful spirit.” Canto also played the mutant Sunspot in the 2014 X-Men film, and his co-star, Halle Berry, later cast him in her film Bruised.
Stephanie Ann, Canto’s wife, posted a picture of the couple along with a verse from the Bible and the words, “Forever my treasure Adan, see you soon.” Jennifer Allen, his public relations representative, said, “Adan had a depth of spirit that few actually knew. Whoever caught a sight of it was eternally altered. Many people will miss him terribly.”

Canto’s breakthrough performance in the US came from the 2013 Fox thriller The Following starring Kevin Bacon. He also starred in the ABC drama Blood & Oil and sitcom Mixology. In addition to his cinematic credits in the 2022 spy thriller Agent Game, he portrayed Colombian politician Rodrigo Lara Bonilla in Netflix’s Narcos.
Canto is survived by his wife, Stephanie Ann Canto, and their two young children, Roman and Eve.
