Jada Pinkett Smith’s romance with the late rapper Tupac Shakur is well known, but Will Smith also had a dedicated relationship with his ex-wife Sheree Zampino, from whom they had their first child, Trey Smith. Before their divorce, Zampino posed a question that proved to be crucial in their relationship.
Both Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith had intriguing former relationships before their famously publicized marriage. Will was married to Sheree Zampino, while Jada’s reported relationship with Tupac Shakur improved her public image. They had a happy relationship from 1992 to 1995 up till Zampino asked him a crucial question.
In an earlier episode of Jada’s talk show Red Table Talk, the pair discussed their journey and revealed the steps they took to get married. Will acknowledged that he felt an instant connection with Jada when they first met, but his pursuit ultimately led him to marry Zampino.

He openly admitted that he had the conviction that he was intended to be with the celebrated Queen Cleopatra star, even while they were married. Even his ex-wife could sense this feeling, which led her to file for divorce by asking a straightforward question: “So, you are going to make somebody stay with you who doesn’t love you?”
Despite Smith’s initial desire to stay married to Zampino, her question caused a change in perspective that finally resulted in their divorce in 1995. Following their divorce, they both followed their own paths while continuing to have a close and enduring friendship.
Later, Smith married Pinkett Smith, with whom he had two children, Jaden Smith and Willow Smith. However, Zampino rekindled his romance with Terrell Fletcher, a former San Diego Chargers running back, and they were wed in 2007. New chapters in both of their lives that were marked by respect and support for one another were made possible by their amicable split.
