Simon Pegg, his co-star in Mission: Impossible, spoke highly of Cruise’s “generous” and “sweet” behavior, describing him as the epitome of the “old kind” of movie star. Pegg stated that amidst the whirlwind of fame surrounding Cruise, he remains a caring individual who looks out for everyone.
“He leads by example, and his presence is truly inspiring,” Pegg expressed to E! News. “There is simply no one else like him; he represents the last of the traditional movie stars.”

Reflecting on their first meeting during the filming of Mission: Impossible III, the actor from The Inheritance shared his personal experience of Cruise’s kindness and warmth, emphasizing that these qualities have been consistent throughout their time together.
“When I first met him, it was my first time to Hollywood,” he said. “He came to set the first day we met, he immediately made me feel very welcome, very at home, was incredibly generous.”
“Over the 17 years that we’ve been friends, I feel lucky to get to see a part of him that everyone else wants to see, which is just the guy.”
“And he is just a guy. He’s an extraordinary guy. He’s a guy who feels the obligation to the audience to risk his life for them to kind of entertain them.”
Mission: Impossible’s seventh installment is set to grace the big screen on July 12th, 2023, followed by the release of Part two in 2024.
