On December 14, three-time Grammy recipient Samara Joy returns to the Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts on the UConn Storrs campus to celebrate the festive season with “A Joyful Holiday,” featuring the McLendon Family.

Joy’s latest recording, “A Joyful Holiday,” has received a nomination for Best Jazz Vocal Album at the 2025 Grammys, as well as a nomination for Best Jazz Performance for her new rendition of Stevie Wonder’s “Twinkle Twinkle Little Me.” The EP is a six-song collection of seasonal favorites, which includes a moving performance of “O Holy Night,” featuring multiple generations of her family. It also showcases a lively arrangement of “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.” This year, her U.S. tour sold out nearly every performance.
