Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert are no longer together as a result of their public divorce, with Teyana blaming Iman in a recent court document for disclosing their identities.
Teyana Taylor initially filed for divorce using just their initials in January to protect their kids and Iman from public attention, but after his recent legal move, the divorce proceedings are no longer private.
Despite Teyana making it seem like they were on good terms in September, sources reveal that they are not living together, communication is minimal, and they only discuss matters related to their two children.
Teyana accused Iman of jealousy regarding her growing career, especially in acting, and made various messy allegations. Despite this, Teyana attended the Gotham Awards in NYC, where she was nominated for Outstanding Lead Performance in her indie drama “A Thousand and One.”
The former basketball player and the actress from “Madea’s Big Happy Family” have been married for seven years, but their relationship dates back much further—the two met at a party in 2011.
Taylor was in a relationship, so they didn’t connect romantically right away, but in 2013, after she took care of Shumpert after his knee surgery, they started dating. In 2014, the couple went public with their relationship on Instagram. In 2015, they revealed their first pregnancy in September and announced their engagement during a baby shower in Cleveland in November.

After their daughter Iman’s birth in December 2015, the couple secretly got married in an intimate home ceremony, with the actress from “A Thousand and One” sharing the news on social media in 2016.
They welcomed their second daughter, Rue, in September 2020, enjoying more years together until Taylor announced their separation in September 2023, stating, “Iman and I are separated and have been for a while.”
