Pleasure P, the R&B singer known for his work with Pretty Ricky, has recently stirred attention with his claims over the holiday season. On December 28, he took to social media to demand recognition and royalties from Lil Wayne, alleging that he co-wrote the rapper’s hit song “Lollipop.” The following day, Pleasure P shared an emotional update about his group, Pretty Ricky, on Instagram.
In his post, Pleasure P expressed his longing for his groupmates and revealed a troubling issue concerning Slick’em Hound, one of the members. “They got one of my brothers on heroin,” he disclosed, adding, “And I don’t want to talk his business. But I miss him, and I wish I could talk to Slick’em.” His comments have yet to receive a response from the other members of Pretty Ricky regarding Slick’em Hound’s situation or the claim that they were fired from the group.
Pretty Ricky gained fame in 2005 with their debut single “Grind With Me,” featuring original members Pleasure P, Spectacular, Baby Blue, and Slick’em Hound. The group enjoyed success with two chart-topping albums before Pleasure P departed in 2008 to pursue a solo career. He quickly found success with hits like “Boyfriend #2,” “Did You Wrong,” and “Under.” In 2015, Pleasure P reunited with Pretty Ricky, but a final album never materialized. They did release a new song, “Puddles,” that year.
Pleasure P is set to join Bow Wow, Trey Songz, and Omarion in March for the upcoming Millennium Tour. In 2024, he partnered with Ne-Yo and Mario for a nationwide R&B tour. His musical catalog includes collaborations with artists such as Flo-Rida, DJ Khaled, and Fat Joe. The Millennium Tour, an annual event, celebrates the early 2000s Hip-Hop and R&B scene, featuring acts like The Yin Yang Twins, Ray J, Sammie, and Nieva. The previous tour included a reunion of B2K.
