Tamayo Perry, a famous surfer who was also featured in the fourth installment of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series, has passed away in a fatal shark attack in Hawaii. During the incident, his arm and leg were amputated, leading to severe injuries. His body was discovered by fellow surfers at Oahu’s North Shore’s Mālaekahana Beach. At the time of the attack, Perry, who worked as an ocean safety lifeguard, was taking a break near Goat Island.
Despite authorities’ efforts, Perry was pronounced dead at the site later on. Perry was affectionately known as a “waterman,” with his victory in the Pipeline Masters surfing competition in 1999 garnering him much fame.
According to Kurt Lager, the Chief of Honolulu ocean safety, Tamayo had a contagious optimistic demeanor, and he adored everyone. Perry will be deeply missed in the surfing community, having died at the age of 49. Perry leaves behind his wife, Emilia. May his soul Rest In Peace.
