Kodak Black Lawyer Claims “Rock” Found In Drug Bust Was Not Cocaine
Unlike what was first reported, Kodak Black’s lawyer claims that he had Percocet instead of cocaine when he was recently arrested. Police in Broward County found the rapper dozing off behind the wheel while he was eating something white that they initially believed to be cocaine.
Tests later indicated that it was Percocet; in addition, “white rock-like substances” were discovered on the ground, and the clear plastic baggie that contained cocaine was discovered in his pocket.
Kodak Black acknowledged his substance abuse issues, confirmed that he uses Percocet legally, and vowed to kick the habit during an Instagram live on Monday, December 12. He also insisted that he doesn’t use cocaine.

Bradford Cohen, his attorney, provided support for this claim, claiming that the “rock” discovered by the police was not properly tested and that because the initial test is presumptive for illegal substances, he thinks it will turn out to be Percocet rather than cocaine. Kodak Black’s substance abuse, specifically his reliance on Percocet, was also discussed by Cohen.
“He’ll undergo different phases of treatment to address the root problem of his dependency and alleviate it,” said his attorney. In an Instagram Live session on Monday, Kodak Black stated that he has spent $350,000 on rehab in efforts to get clean and improve.
