Kevin Sorbo Says Hollywood Men Aren’t ‘Manly’ And Pays A Heavy Price
Renowned for his portrayal of Hercules in the 1990s television series, Kevin Sorbo has taken issue with what he perceives as a dearth of “manly” men in the current movie and television industries.
Along with this, the 65-year-old American actor became well-known for his work on the 2000–2005 science fiction series “Andromeda.” Sorbo, who recently asserted that his conservative beliefs have caused him to be shunned in Hollywood, has written an essay addressing what he considers to be a “masculinity crisis.”
In it, he unfavorably compared actors like Timothée Chalamet and Billy Porter to his portrayal of the muscular Greek god.
‘It doesn’t really matter what end of the masculinity spectrum you fall on – if you’re a victim to your own base desires, the feminist culture has won,’ he said.
‘You’re exactly the kind of wussy man they (think they) want you to be. Society today seriously misunderstands masculinity.’

‘We love to normalise androgynous, Billy Porter-type men [in skirts]. Chalamet wears clothes that your grandfather wouldn’t have been caught dead in.’
‘Everywhere we look, bold, confident, self-assured females upstage passive men who recede quietly into the background,’
Sorbo also emphasized the portrayal of fathers on TV and in movies, stating they’ve become the target of criticism in woke Hollywood in recent years.
He claimed that Hollywood needed to become more manly and stressed the importance of having more male warriors and protectors in America who put their families first.
