Woman boiled husband’s head in a pot and tried to serve his body parts and gravy to his children

Katherine Knight, who infamously stabbed her partner John Price 37 times, skinned him, and cooked his remains, has been sentenced to life behind bars.

Price’s body was found mutilated, with his skin hanging from a meat hook. His head was discovered in a pot on the stove, where Knight had been cooking it. A meal of cooked body parts was also prepared, with place settings for Price’s children.

Justice Barry O’Keefe sentenced Knight to life imprisonment in 2001, stating, “The prisoner, Katherine Mary Knight, does not qualify for mercy… She showed him no mercy. She has not expressed any contrition or remorse.”

Despite the gruesome nature of her crime, Knight still maintains her innocence and has shown no remorse for her actions.

A detective who worked on the case described the scene as “something that will haunt me for the rest of my life.”

Knight, now incarcerated at the Silverwater Women’s Correctional Centre in Sydney, had her appeal for a reduced sentence dismissed in 2006.
