A Jane’s Addiction concert in Boston turned violent Friday night as lead singer Perry Farrell and guitarist Dave Navarro clashed onstage.
Dramatic footage obtained by TMZ shows the shocking altercation at Leader Bank Pavilion.
According to eyewitnesses, tensions had been simmering throughout the performance. “The situation was brewing all night,” a source revealed.
The explosive confrontation unfolded during Navarro’s electric guitar solo. Farrell, visibly enraged, stormed over to Navarro, shouting into the microphone.
“Perry got in Dave’s face, causing him to backpedal,” an onlooker described. Farrell then threw a punch, striking Navarro’s guitar instead.
A crew member intervened, separating the two musicians. Road crew staff rushed in, dragging Farrell across the stage away from Navarro.
Band insiders blame Farrell’s erratic behavior, citing repeated verse singing that frustrated his bandmates. “Perry’s voice seemed fine, but he kept singing verses over and over again, pissing off his bandmates,” a insider disclosed.
The incident has sparked concerns about the band’s future. Jane’s Addiction has yet to comment on the altercation.
