Grammy wins for Samara Joy, Chick Corea and Béla Fleck, Dan Pugach Big Band and Ruthie Foster

Singer Samara Joy is now a five-time Grammy Award winner after two more wins at the 67 Grammy awards in LA.

Samara Joy won Best Jazz Vocal Album for A Joyful Holiday. She also won Best Jazz Performance for “Twinkle Twinkle Little Me” featuring Sullivan Fortner.

Other winners last night included the late Chick Corea and Bela Fleck for Remembrance in the Best Jazz Instrumental album.

The Dan Pugach Big Band won for Bianca Reimagined Music for Paws and Persistence for Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album.

Pugach’s wife Nicole Zuraitis, 2024 winner of Best Jazz Vocal Album, is a featured artist and producer on Biana Reimagined.

Singer Ruthie Foster won the Grammy award in the “Best Contemporary Blues Album” category for Mileage. It was Foster’s first career Grammy win in six nominations.
