Shifty Shellshock, lead singer of the rap rock band Crazy Town, has passed away at 49. He was known for his vocals on their hit song “Butterfly.”
Crazy Town was formed in 1992 by Shifty Shellshock (Seth Binzer) and Bret Mazur. They gained popularity with their debut album “The Gift of Game” in 1999 and hit single “Butterfly” in 2000.
After the band disbanded, Shifty Shellshock pursued a solo career, releasing the album “Happy Love Sick” in 2004. He openly struggled with addiction and appeared on reality shows “Celebrity Rehab” and “Sober House.”
Shifty Shellshock faced health issues and legal troubles in recent years. His cause of death has not been revealed.
