Following Amber Heard’s abrupt departure from Hollywood, numerous speculations arose regarding her potential absence from the big screen. The actress’s sudden disappearance led to a multitude of inquiries, with certain individuals asserting that her tumultuous public divorce from Johnny Depp had effectively terminated her career in the industry.

Following her ex-husband Depp’s defamation lawsuit against her, the Aquaman star faced intense public scrutiny. The legal dispute emerged in response to Heard’s 2018 article in the Washington Post, in which she made accusations of domestic violence without explicitly mentioning Depp’s name.

In December, following the court’s judgment, Heard disclosed that she had made a “difficult decision” and opted to settle the defamation case. As part of the settlement, the court mandated that Heard pay Depp $1 million, a payment she duly made. Depp subsequently donated the defamed funds to five different charitable organizations.
Now leaving behind her troubled past, Heard is embracing her return to the realm of acting and preparing to embark on new projects. Recently, the actress, known for her role in Magic Mike XXL, attended the Taormina film festival in Sicily to promote her first major film since the trial, titled In The Fire.
In her latest film, set in 1899, Heard portrays a 38-year-old American psychiatrist who is summoned to Colombia to unravel the enigmatic case of a troubled child.
The child is plagued by grave allegations, with some believing that the youngster may, in fact, be possessed by the Devil. The plot delves into the psychiatrist’s journey as she grapples with the mysterious and unsettling circumstances surrounding the child.
