Anderson .Paak files for divorce from wife Jae Lin after 12 years of marriage
TMZ recently reported that Anderson Paak, known for his musical collaborations with Bruno Mars, has officially filed for divorce from his wife of more than a decade, Jae Lin. The couple tied the knot in 2011 and shares two sons: Soul, 13, and Shine, 6.
In the divorce filing, Anderson Paak opted for “TBD” instead of specifying the separation date. Despite the lack of a set date, Paak is seeking visitation rights and joint custody of their sons, marking an effort to maintain an active role in their lives. The division of assets is an ongoing part of the divorce proceedings.
Jae Lin, now Chang, was a teacher’s assistant at the music school where Anderson Paak worked, and they first crossed paths. While this is Paak’s second marriage, he regards it as the most significant one, emphasizing its importance in various interviews. The artist has been candid about the early challenges the couple faced, notably experiencing homelessness after he lost his job at a marijuana farm.

Despite the current divorce proceedings, Anderson Paak is actively engaged in his career and personal projects. He is gearing up for his directorial debut, K-Pops!, which will feature his eldest son, Soul. Inspired by his mixed Black and Korean heritage, the film explores the humor in the experiences of growing up biracial.
Paak expressed his motivation for the project, stating that he wanted to delve into familial relationships and also enjoy quality time with his son during the filming process. The film currently does not have a confirmed release date.
