On Thursday night in Beverly Hills, California, Lizzo made a dazzling appearance at the Black Music Action Coalition Gala. Despite being the target of several assault accusations, the 35-year-old musical sensation chose to grace the Beverly Hilton’s interior rather than walk the red carpet.

She received the BMAC Quincy Jones Humanitarian Award at the occasion in honor of her commitment to philanthropy and social justice. Earlier this week, Lizzo discovered she was the target of yet another lawsuit, this one brought by a person claiming to be a former tour worker. This criticism came shortly after she was criticized by three former backup dancers who are currently being sued.
An agent for the artist vehemently denied the accusations in reaction to these new allegations, claiming that the complainant had never in fact spoken to or interacted with the celebrity.
According to TMZ, the musician is currently embroiled in a legal battle with a lady who claims Lizzo’s crew members made racialized and body-shaming comments to her while she was working extraordinarily long hours.
