Anthony ‘Big Jook’ Mims, the brother of Yo Gotti, was brutally shot and killed in front of a restaurant in Memphis, Tennessee. Anthony was one of two guys shot during the Saturday afternoon incident at Perignons Restaurant & Event Centre. Regretfully, he was pronounced dead on the spot.

The second victim is in critical condition after being taken to the hospital. The gunfire were reported to police at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, and two men are believed to have been targeted in the shooting.

According to TMZ, the altercation occurred after Big Jook attended a local funeral ceremony. It’s unknown whether Yo Gotti (Mario Sentell Giden Mims) was with his brother at the time, and he has yet to comment on his brother’s death.

The Memphis Police Department has requested information from the public and issued a statement encouraging anyone with information to phone 901-528-CASH.

Videos circulating online show Big Jook bleeding on the ground as people gather around to tend to his injuries. Big Jook, closely connected to his brother Yo Gotti, was associated with Yo Gotti’s record label, Collective Music Group, where he handled business aspects and promoted artists. Founded in 2012, Collective Music Group has signed successful acts like Moneybagg Yo, 42 Dugg, Blac Youngsta, GloRilla, EST Gee, and Mozzy. Yo Gotti entered the hip-hop scene with his 1996 debut album “Youngsta’s On A Come Up” and has since released 10 more studio albums.
