Worst-Dressed Stars At The 2024 Oscars
The Oscars happen every year and it’s a big night for movies. The red carpet at the Oscars is famous for its glitz and glamour, with Hollywood stars wearing their best outfits. This year, most stars looked great, but some didn’t.
There were lots of colorful and daring outfits on the red carpet, but not all of them worked well. Some outfits were strange or distracting, and didn’t impress. Overall, while there were many winners at the Oscars, some outfits were definitely losers in terms of fashion.
Andrea Riseborough
Andrea Riseborough wore a bold Loewe gown to the Oscars, but the large plaid print overshadowed her. The dress had long sleeves and a high neck, covering her up too much and making it seem like the dress wore her instead of the other way around.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson decided not to wear a typical black suit to the Oscars this year, but his shiny gunmetal grey suit didn’t work well. The fabric’s sheen and wrinkles made the suit look busy and distracting, especially with the added burgundy accent and unbuttoned neckline.
Molly Sims
Molly Sims wore an all-pink Georges Chakra Couture gown to the Oscars, inspired by Barbie. While the color suited her, the U-shaped neckline plunging down to her belly button seemed excessive. The silver detailing on the neckline clashed with the dress’s light style.
Ariana Grande
Ariana Grande wore a Giambattista Valli Haute Couture dress to the Oscars, but it looked like she brought her bedding with her. The huge, puffy sleeves in pale pink were overly sweet and didn’t quite work, despite being inspired by Glinda. Her super light blonde hair in a curled ponytail made the outfit look like she was going to ballet class.

Laura Karpman
Composer Laura Karpman, nominated for Best Original Score for “American Fiction” at the Oscars, wore an over-the-top disco ball-inspired outfit. The platform shoes, excessive accessories, and head-to-toe glitter were too much, and the silver glitter-covered coat would have looked better paired with something more subtle underneath.
Erika Alexander
Erika Alexander’s outfit on the red carpet was surprising – she wore a tutu over her wedding dress, which clashed with the dress’s style. Additionally, her accessories, like the formal black gloves and outdated statement necklace, didn’t match well either.
