Will Smith returned to his police officer role for the filming of Bad Boys 4 in Miami, Florida.

During breaks, Will had his hair and makeup touched up by the artist.

He stars in the fourth Bad Boys movie as Detective Lieutenant Mike Lowrey alongside Martin Lawrence as Detective Lieutenant Marcus Burnett. Production resumed on February 26 after a seven-month break due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. Directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah had hoped to finish the film over the summer, but filming stopped when the actors went on strike on July 31.

Although principal photography was done before the shutdown, reshoots were necessary to finish the film. The production is expected to finish soon, and then the rush will be to edit the movie in time for its premiere in the U.S. on June 7. The plot of the movie has been kept secret, but the franchise typically follows the adventures of narcotics officers Mike and Marcus as they fight dangerous criminals.

Vanessa Hudgens returns as Kelly, a weapons expert from Bad Boys For Life. Alexander Ludwig, Paola Núñez, DJ Khaled, and Jacob Scipio are also returning for their roles. Tasha Smith joins the cast as Theresa Burnett, taking over from Theresa Randle.

New cast members include Eric Dane, Ioan Gruffudd, Rhea Seehorn, and Joyner Lucas, with Ioan playing Lockwood, a high-profile attorney. The previous three films were successful, with the original grossing $141.4 million, the second earning $273.3 million, and the third making $426.5 million. Bad Boys 4 was delayed in April 2022 due to Will Smith’s Oscars incident.
