The Will And Jada Smith Family Foundation, created by the fabulous Hollywood power duo back in 1996, is going through a bit of a rough patch. Things took a wild turn at the 2022 Oscars when Will Smith decided to give Chris Rock an unexpected slap. Well, that slap led to an 83% drop in the foundation’s revenue.As a result, big-time supporters like American Airlines and CAA have decided to bail out, and the foundation is sadly on the verge of closing its doors.
In 2022, the foundation did manage to make some pretty generous donations. They supported cool organizations like the American Film Institute, Rebecoming, and the World Rebirth Foundation. Rebecoming is all about helping people release their traumas by delving into unconventional states of consciousness. And then we have the World Rebirth Foundation, which aims to lend a helping hand to those in need and support other worthy causes.
The foundation did face its share of challenges with staff cuts and mounting expenses. But Will and Jada didn’t let that deter them from inspiring and uplifting individuals and communities. And let’s not forget about Will’s incredible Hollywood career! Despite the setback faced by the foundation, rumor has it that he’s still raking in some seriously big bucks for his upcoming projects.
