Chuck Woolery, the legendary host of Wheel of Fortune, Love Connection, and other popular game shows, has passed away at the age of 83. According to TMZ, Woolery’s longtime friend and podcast co-host Mark Young was with him at his home in Texas when he complained of not feeling well.
Young told TMZ that Woolery went to lie down but returned shortly, struggling to breathe. Emergency services were called, but unfortunately, Woolery did not survive.
Woolery’s career in game shows spanned several decades, with his big break coming in 1975 as the first host of Wheel of Fortune. He hosted the show until 1981 and went on to host Love Connection, Scrabble, and a revival of The Dating Game.

Woolery is survived by his wife, Kim, and their children, Katherine, Melissa, Michael, and Sean.
