Tyrese Gibson Wants New Judge to Handle Divorce Case
According to court documents filed this week, Tyrese Gibson is asking for a new judge in his Georgia divorce case, citing bias and expressing displeasure with Judge Kevin Farmer’s management of the case.
Tyrese says that Judge Farmer called off a court appearance without giving him a chance to explain how the strikes in Hollywood affected his work and income this year, and instead ordered him to post a $450,000 bond within ten days for his appeal. Tyrese claims that the judge’s bias against him is evident in this decision as well.
In an earlier attempt to have Judge Farmer removed from the case, Tyrese claimed the judge had belittled him during testimony, made disparaging remarks about his ex-girlfriend Samantha Lee Gibson, and expressed approval of the child support order.
Gibson’s lawyers released a statement accusing Judge Farmer and Samantha Gibson’s lawyers of collusion, questioning the judge’s fairness and balance, and expressing concerns about the judge’s actions, suggesting that there might be something amiss at the Fulton County Superior Court. The lawyers emphasized that judges are expected to make impartial decisions based on careful evaluation of testimony and evidence.

In the previous year, the judge reprimanded Tyrese for reportedly talking back during his testimony, while Samantha’s attorney highlighted that despite Tyrese claiming financial difficulties in 2018, he had actually earned over $2 million.
Tyrese was previously married to Norma Gibson from 2007 to 2009, with whom he shares a daughter named Shayla. After his divorce from Samantha, he has been romantically linked to media influencer Zelie Timothy. Additionally, he faced a lawsuit from an Airbnb owner for alleged damage and alterations to the rented property.
