Tory Lanez has been stabbed 14 times while in prison. He is serving a 10-year sentence for shooting hip-hop star Megan Thee Stallion in the foot in 2020.
The attack happened at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi at 7:20 a.m. on Monday. A spokesperson for the Department of Corrections confirmed the incident.
According to a post on Lanez’s verified Instagram account, he was stabbed in several places. He had 7 wounds on his back, 4 on his torso, 2 on the back of his head, and 1 on the left side of his face. The post also said that both of his lungs collapsed, but he is now breathing on his own.
Despite his injuries, Lanez is said to be talking normally and is in good spirits. He is thankful to God for surviving and has thanked fans for their prayers and support.
The stabbing is under investigation. Authorities have not yet shared more details about the attack or who may be responsible.

Tory Lanez was found guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in July 2020. The incident took place after a party at Kylie Jenner’s home in the Hollywood Hills. He reportedly shouted at Megan to “dance” before firing shots at her feet as she walked away from the vehicle they were in.
Lanez is currently being treated for his injuries. He was taken to a hospital after the stabbing. His condition appears to be improving.
