Music fans were shocked to hear that Beyoncé and Madonna are not only distantly connected to one another but also to Hillary Clinton and Celine Dion, which came as a surprise to them.
An observant fan noted that these well-known pop icons had a similar progenitor in their lineage. They are most likely ninth cousins once removed, according to another enthusiast who conducted additional research.

As word of the discovery spread, enquiring souls dug deeper into the genealogy, revealing ever more unexpected connections. The previous Secretary of State, Celine Dion, Ryan Gosling, Shania Twain, Alanis Morissette, comedian Ricky Gervais, and Justin Bieber were some of the famous distant relatives.
“So I think this makes them 9th cousins once removed. I once found Bey is my 11th cousin once removed but this means little since genetically you’re already pretty distantly related at even the degree 3rd cousins (sharing only 0.78% DNA on average),” replied one person.

The man in question is Jean Guyon Dion, whose family was instrumental in the early establishment of New France, a French-colonized territory of North America.

Jean Guyon Dion, described as the patriarch of a robust family tree, is thought to be the forefather of a vast majority of Québécois, according to the genealogy portal Family Search.
The relationship to the aforementioned personalities is hardly surprising, given that all save Gervais and Clinton were born in Canada.
Interestingly, despite being born in America, both Beyoncé and Madonna had ancestors who were early French settlers in North America.”
Beyoncé’s maternal line descends from Louisiana Creoles, including members with Québécois or Acadian origin, who trace their roots to the French. In the 17th and 18th centuries, Acadia, which was an essential component of New France, had a big impact on their ancestry.
According to the website French Canadian Genealogy, Madonna’s mother, Madonna Louise Fortin, is descended from a group of French Canadians who arrived in the United States in the 1880s.
But among Beyoncé’s distant relatives, Madonna isn’t the most notable person. Beyoncé has ties to deceased Queen Elizabeth II and other members of the English royal family. She was the queen’s 25th cousin, once removed, according to the genealogical website Geni, and they both can trace their descent to Henry II.
