Newly shared fan footage from Taylor Swift’s Brazil concert shows the 33-year-old hitmaker visibly struggling to breathe as she performed on a stage in Rio de Janeiro on Friday, where high temperatures were reported.

The scorching weather is said to have contributed to the tragic death of a young fan, Ana Clara Benevides, who reportedly went into cardiac arrest at the age of 23. The cause of her death is yet to be announced.

In the circulating footage on social media, after singing a hit from her 2022 album “Midnights,” titled “Bejeweled,” Taylor is seen on-stage attempting to compose herself while taking deep breaths.

Taylor Swift was seen tossing water bottles into the crowd at Friday night’s concert in response to fans’ requests for water, and this was before she learned of Ana’s death. She issued a statement following the show, expressing a “shattered heart” and feeling “overcome with grief.”
