The trouble started when Ray J said he had an affair with Sexyy Red. This was not true and led to a public argument between them.
Sexyy Red didn’t stay quiet. She shared messages on social media where she told Ray J he was lying and playing games with people’s names online.

Justin Bieber showed support for Sexyy Red by sharing her post and calling her “the goat,” meaning she is the greatest.
Later, Ray J said sorry on his Twitch livestream. He admitted he went too far by saying he slept with Sexyy Red and called his actions trolling. He apologized and said he hopes everyone sees his apology.
