Lil Scrappy is walking back several recent comments, from suggesting his kids need DNA tests to dissing Black Donald Trump supporters.
Less than a week ago, Scrap confirmed he’s expecting a child with a woman named Shakira. While addressing fan questions about his fifth child, he joked about all of his children needing DNA tests. However, the tone he used during the livestream didn’t appear to a joke. “Of course, I’m gon’ get a DNA, I need to get it on all of ’em. The f**k. Y’all think people so perfect man…y’all look at men and think men are horrible and the women are perfect. Anybody that think that y’all are f**king dum dums,” Scrappy said at the time. Still, he later slid into The Shade Room’s comment section to clear the air. He wrote, “I was joking dayum,” and added laughing emojis.
However, it seemed like his ex-wife Bambi wasn’t feeling Scrappy’s lil’ joke. The former couple share three kids under the age of 10 together. He is also dad to a daughter, Emani, from a previous relationship with Erica Dixon. Though Bam didn’t directly address her ex-husband, the Bam took to Instagram on Nov. 4 with some family footage. She captioned the Instagram post, “One thing for certain #TheyMine #Bambinos.”
In his follow-up apology video, Scrap again explained that the DNA test comment was a joke. He shared that he has “to apologize for saying certain things” becaue people are taking it seriously.
“…I know my babies are my babies. You know what I’m saying? They look like me, they act like me when I was a baby. And they mine, so I don’t do all that. But I was on Instagram and I was talking sh*t to people that was talking sh*t to me on live or whatever. Yeah, don’t take that so seriously. Y’all see me with my kids, y’all see how I do with my kids, how my kids do with me. That’s not even a real thought of getting them tested.”
Still, Lil Scrappy said that if he wanted to DNA test his children, he would with no hesitation. He did confirm that he’s getting a DNA test for “the new baby” with Shakira despite not having any doubts that the child is his.
Before Donald Trump reclaimed the White House on Nov. 6, Scrappy went IN on Black people who were supporting the president-elect. He popped off on social media less than a week before Election Day.
“You not gone be Black to me. Don’t try to shake my hand, I’m not going to shake your hand. I’m gon pray for you. That’s what imma do, and if something was to ever happen to your kids one day and the police do it, and they get immunity. I’m not coming to march for you; imma pray for you and your family because you are the reason why it happened,” Scrappy said on Oct. 28.
In his apology video, though, Scrap seemed to take back his revoked Black card threats. “I shouldn’t have said that,” Scrappy admitted. Instead, he says he should’ve encouraged people to vote and keep it there.
Meanwhile, Bambi seemingly hasn’t responded to her ex-husband’s apology. She also shook the internet streets over the weekend after announcing her new children’s book. The announcement appeared to be in reponse to Scrappy announcing his unborn child with baby shower footage.
