Owner of ‘Jirapa Dubai’ reportedly murdered.
MyNewsGh.com reports that Mr. Eric Johnson, the owner of the Royal Cosy Hills Hotel, also known as Jirapa Dubai in the Jirapa District of the Upper West Region, has been killed. His body was discovered this morning, allegedly shot by unknown attackers.
Journalist Kennedy Mornah, from the Upper West Region and a friend of the business mogul, shared the news on his Facebook page, expressing sadness over the alleged murder of the Jirapa Dubai owner.
He wrote”Owner of Jirapa Dubai allegedly murdered? How did we get here? A very sad way indeed to begin the year”

According to the source, chieftaincy issues could be connected to his murder. Some members of the royal family were reportedly angered by Mr. Eric Johnson’s alleged involvement in a scheme to install a chief in the Jirapa traditional area. They petitioned the Tendaaba, him, and other family members, charging them with plotting to choose a chief against their preferences.
They stressed in the petition that the chieftaincy stool is not for sale and cautioned against endangering the tranquility of the region. In an effort to clear his name, Mr. Eric Johnson sued the petitioners in October 2023; the case is currently pending in court.
