Nicki Minaj’s Husband Under House Arrest for Threatening Rapper Offset
Kenneth Petty, Nicki Minaj’s husband, has been ordered to serve 120 days in house arrest for violating his probation terms. This infringement resulted from the distribution of video clips on social media that appeared to contain threats aimed against rapper Offset.
According to a court order filed on Wednesday in the Central District of California, Petty was ordered to participate in home monitoring after being caught on film making dangerous words towards Offset.
Petty admitted guilt for failing to register as a sex offender in California in 2020 and was given a three-year probationary sentence in July 2022. He was sentenced to four years in jail in New York in 1995 after being found guilty of first-degree attempted rape of a 16-year-old female.

Petty and members of his group were seen in the widely shared social media footage dated September 16 outside a hotel in New York City, which was supposedly the same place Offset was staying.
Petty is heard stating the following on the video, among other threatening comments: Plan that vacation, you gonna be planning your funeral p****!.”
Offset appeared unconcerned by the situation as he addressed the threats in a video posted to his social media accounts.
“I’m getting off a jet, he’s funny,” Offset said, and implied that Petty was broke.
