New Hangover Cure Claims to Work in 30 Minutes

A revolutionary new drink claims to cure hangovers in just 30 minutes. Safety Shot, launched in the US before Christmas, has already sold out and is set to hit the UK market by the end of the year.

The drink’s manufacturers claim it works by creating a “shield” in the gut to reduce alcohol absorption, processing alcohol more efficiently, and replenishing vital nutrients.

But experts are skeptical. Sam Royle, a researcher at the University of Salford, said: “There are no actual, validated, hangover cures. The mechanisms underlying hangovers are not fully understood.”

Registered nutritional therapist Lauren Johnson Reynolds added: “I would be skeptical about the blood alcohol content being reduced that quickly, but I can see how it might make a person feel better.”

Despite the doubts, some users claim the drink works. However, a journalist who tested it for The Guardian found it didn’t quickly decrease her blood alcohol levels, but did affect her alertness.

Safety Shot’s ingredients include vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and nootropics. The company claims it can help drinkers “never lose a day” to hangovers.

Only time will tell if Safety Shot lives up to its bold claims.
