Ne-Yo wins ‘Masked Singer’ Season 10
On Wednesday night (Dec. 20), Ne-Yo was revealed as the winner of The Masked Singer Season 10, performing as the Cow. The other finalists were Macy Gray as the Sea Queen, Janel Parrish as the Gazelle, and John Schneider as the Donut.
Reflecting on his unexpected victory and unique costume, the Grammy winner shared with Entertainment Weekly, “I never thought that one of my most fun stage performances would be with me dressed up as a female cow of all things. I never would’ve imagined that.” Ne-Yo performed covers of various songs throughout the season, including tracks by Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Anita Ward, Stevie Wonder, Bruno Mars, and his own hit, Rihanna’s “Take A Bow.”

Cow had judges torn, with guesses ranging from Usher, Billy Porter, to Jamie Foxx under the clever disguise. Ne-Yo revealed that he chose to be a female cow to mislead judges, considering his personal friendships with two of them.
Despite his efforts to conceal his identity, he acknowledged that he couldn’t fake his singing voice, saying, “There’s no way around it […] the second I started singing, somebody was going to catch me.” While Robin Thicke consistently believed it was Ne-Yo, Nick Cannon remained on the fence, with Ne-Yo expressing satisfaction in surprising Cannon even after the show.
The only people Ne-Yo couldn’t fool were his children and mother, who recognized his voice from the first show. Despite trying to deny it, his family insisted, saying, “We’ve been listening to your voice our whole lives.
We know you when we hear you.” While friends were fooled, immediate family knew it was him right away. Looking ahead, Ne-Yo has plans for a new album, an international tour with Mario in the spring, and teased upcoming appearances on the big and small screen in new ways.
