Michael Jackson’s Eldest Son Opens Up About His Father’s Skin Condition

One of the most significant figures in music history, Jackson was a global superstar whose impact completely changed the business.
However, he also continues to be one of the most disputed and contentious characters, with rumors circling about his legal troubles, misconduct accusations, or cosmetic operations.
The changing skin tone of Michael Jackson was the subject of a noteworthy controversy. It had a darker tint at first, but progressively grew lighter. The singer’s life revolved around this change, which attracted a lot of media attention.

Prince, the singer’s eldest son, brought up this topic over 15 years later. The podcast Hotboxin’ hosted by retired boxer Mike Tyson featured Prince Jackson. Tyson brought up the late singer’s changing skin tone during their talk, adding that there were beliefs in the public that Michael Jackson had the change made in order to seem white.
“Everybody thought he was changing his skin because he wanted to be white, but he was changing it because he wanted to glow,” the former boxer explained.
“He wanted to be a light, he wanted to shine.”
Prince Jackson continued by saying that his father had talked to him about the skin condition vitiligo and given him advice on how to handle it.
“He had a lot of insecurity around looking blotchy in his appearance,”
“So he wanted to see if he could smooth out his appearance, to help with his security on his physical appearance.”
