Malia Obama, the eldest daughter of Barack and Michelle Obama, has embarked on a Hollywood career, opting to go by her middle name, Malia Ann, to establish her own identity separate from her parents’ renown. This decision was revealed in a Sundance Institute video where she was introduced as a filmmaker, discussing her project “The Heart” as “an odd little story, somewhat of a fable.”
