Lil Nas X Responds To Homophobic Dave Chappelle Joke

Lil Nas X has responded to a joke made by Dave Chappelle in his most recent Netflix comedy special, “The Closer,” which was published on December 31. The joke concerned the singer’s 2021 song, “Montero (Call Me By Your Name).” In inquiry is a joke wherein Chappelle asks a youngster about their future goals, but the child is afraid to answer for fear of being made fun of by other children.

Chappelle keeps encouraging the kid until they say, “Little Nas X.” There is controversy surrounding the comedian’s special for a number of reasons. On social media, Lil Nas X responded to Chappelle’s joke and offered his thoughts.

“That n**** stood up in front of the whole class… I wanna be the gayest n**** that ever lived.” He continued: “I want to do a music video, slide down a stripper pole all the way into the depths of hell and suck the devil’s dick at 10’o-clock on BET while all the kids are awake and they can see me.”

Nas X responded to the joke on his official Twitter page, urging people to move on from “Call Me By Your Name” and mentioning his separation from the devil three years ago. He remarked, “yall acting like children of divorce.”

In another part of the special, Chappelle talked about meeting Lil Nas X, emphasizing the singer’s powerful dreaming. Chappelle recalled encountering Nas X at a party, initially unaware of who he was. However, upon seeing him, Chappelle sensed he was in the singer’s dream.

“I know a dreamer when I see one, and I’ve met many powerful dreamers in my life, none more powerful than a man who calls himself Lil Nas X,” he said.

He continued: “I met this n**** at a party. I had no idea who he was. But the minute he walked into that party, I knew I was in his dream. Everyone at that party was a dreamer, everyone was famous but when that n**** walked in, he was dressed like CP3O. He was Shining. And everyone was like ‘Oh my god, there he is, that’s Lil Nas X’.

Describing the atmosphere at the party, Chappelle noted that everyone was a dreamer and famous, but Lil Nas X stood out in his CP3O attire, shining and capturing everyone’s attention with exclamations like, “Oh my god, there he is, that’s Lil Nas X.”

“I didn’t know who he was and for some reason, out of fall the dreamers there, he walked right up to me and he said ‘I tried to get you in my video.’ I didn’t know what the fuck he was talking about. I said ‘What video?’ and he was just looking at like ‘You know what video,’ and walked away.”

In his most recent comedy special, Dave Chappelle discussed his previous issues with the transgender community and even made fun of those with disabilities. “I’m not messing with those people anymore,” he said, retracting his earlier remarks.

The trouble wasn’t worth it. After that, Chappelle declared a change in direction, declaring, “I’m not going to make any more jokes about trans people. I’m performing all jokes about people with disabilities tonight. I enjoy hitting down, and they’re not as organized as the gay community.”

In the past, Chappelle had defended his jokes about transgender issues, saying that critics had missed the creative nuance. After Chappelle supposedly condemned Israel’s bombing of Gaza, several of his fans apparently left his stand-up gig in Boston recently.
