Shortly after winning three Grammys on Sunday, Killer Mike was arrested and booked for misdemeanor battery, allegedly after clashing with a security guard at the venue. He was released soon after and told TMZ on Monday that he had a disagreement with an “overzealous” guard and is confident he will be cleared.
“As you can imagine, there was a lot going and there was some confusion around which door my team and I should enter,” he said. “We experienced an over-zealous security guard but my team and I have the upmost confidence that I will ultimately be cleared of all wrongdoing.” He had earlier told TMZ he “felt good” but at the time declined to go into further details.

A source close to Killer Mike explained that he and his team faced confusion while trying to enter the venue, encountering a security guard who gave them a hard time, prompting Mike to continue moving forward.
Specifically, Killer Mike passed the guard, which led to them pursuing him afterward, as captured in TMZ’s footage. Ultimately, Mike was detained and later arrested. Sources indicate that the situation was exaggerated, and both Mike and his team are confident that he will be cleared once all the details come to light.
