Keke Palmer Hints At Retirement From Hollywood
Over the years, Keke Palmer has risen steadily in Hollywood from child star to a successful “Big Boss.” However, she recently discussed the possibility of retiring from showbiz in an interview with Teen Vogue. With a career spanning 20 years, Palmer feels that her retirement is approaching, although she’s unsure of the exact timing.
“I don’t know. I think the timer has started,” Palmer shared. “I think it’s because I just haven’t felt it yet. But the timer, I know that it’s around the corner. I don’t know when exactly, but it’s around the corner.”
Palmer is thinking about giving up her Hollywood career in order to devote more time to her son Leo’s legacy and to using KeyTV Network, her media organization, to develop prospects for next talents.

She rejects the notion of gatekeeping in the industry and instead believes in using her power for good and creating opportunities for others to succeed. Palmer worries the long-term viability of an entertainment profession, having experienced performance-related anxiety in the past.
“When I was younger, I used to have so much anxiety,” Palmer says. “I love to perform, but is that something that can last forever? I think I always would wonder, ‘Is it something that times out?’ Obviously, you have people that have been acting their entire careers…but I just never knew how I could scale myself.”
