Jonathan Majors Dropped by Marvel Studios After Guilty Verdict
According to TMZ sources, Jonathan Majors has been fired by Disney because Marvel has severed ties with him and removed him from all projects within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as a result of his guilty verdict. His important role as Kang the Conqueror, the primary antagonist of Marvel, will end as a result of this decision.
This is a major blow because Jonathan Majors previously portrayed multiple incarnations of the character Kang in the Marvel film “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” and the two seasons of the Disney+ series “Loki.”
Kang had a major role in both the aforementioned movie and the second season of “Loki.” At first, the actor was supposed to play the character of Kang in two or more more Marvel movies. The studio saw him and the character as the next big antagonist in the franchise, similar to Thanos.
But now that all has changed, the two upcoming ‘Avengers’ films, in which he was supposed to play Kang, will be entirely different without him. Marvel appears ready to make a big change, as there were already indications that they were thinking about other options prior to the trial.
It’s unclear if they’ll bring in a new actor for Kang or a completely different antagonist, but either way, Jonathan Majors lost out on millions of dollars when his major employer fired him.

After Jonathan Majors was found guilty on two of the four counts in his criminal trial—assault and harassment charges stemming from an incident with his ex-girlfriend in March—Marvel made the quick decision to fire him.
He was found not guilty of intentional assault and aggravated harassment, but convicted of reckless assault and harassment. The jury’s verdict seems to imply that they found him guilty of things that happened outside the car rather than necessarily what happened inside. Majors’s lawyer stated that he intended to clear his client’s name, implying that an appeal may be forthcoming.
