Jason Momoa reveals surprising career choice if he wasn’t an actor
Known for his roles in television shows and movies, Jason Momoa stated in an interview with People magazine that if he wasn’t an actor, he would want to use his voice to change the world. He is particularly passionate about environmental issues and would like to enter politics to fight for the environment.
“I’d wanna do something to help the environment,” he said. “The way the world’s going, I would’ve, if I was still young Jason, 12-year-old Jason, I’d probably try to do something to get into politics, really fight for our planet.”
He said he wished he had made a different decision in middle school and that if he could go back to the sixth grade, he would devote himself to changing things for the better.

“If I could go back and be in sixth grade, I would make my life go towards making a change,” he confessed.
The 2023 documentary Common Ground, which focuses on sustainability and how our daily actions affect the environment, demonstrates that one does not need to be in politics to raise awareness about caring for our earth. This is especially true for Momoa. He advises individuals to start modest at home, such as cutting back on energy use and reevaluating what they consume.
“I would just start in the home. Like, what are the small things you can do on how to save energy?” he said. “What are we taking in that we can consider, ‘Do we need that?'”
Momoa founded the water company Mananalu Pure Water, which uses aluminum bottles and promises to eliminate one plastic water bottle’s worth of waste from the ocean for every bottle that is sold.
