Jamie Foxx, an Academy Award-winning actor, appeared alongside Tom Cruise in the 2004 film Collateral. Despite both being major stars and delivering exceptional performances, only one of them is an Oscar winner, and when a stunt went wrong on set, the other received a bit more careful treatment.

In a past appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Jamie Foxx shared a story from the set of Collateral, where a stunt went wrong, leading to an actual car crash. Foxx, who played cab driver Max opposite Tom Cruise’s professional killer character, Vincent, mentioned that everyone rushed to check on Cruise, while there was less concern for him.

“What happens is, the car gets out of control and I actually do crash into the car. And when they get there, they’re like ‘Jamie, get out of the way, Tom! Are you ok?’ And that’s where you know where you are

As he tells the story, Jamie Foxx laughs and says that even at that point, he was over the incident and that, in retrospect, it probably seemed pretty funny.

The fact that there were no major injuries from the crash probably contributed to his ability to laugh it off. Without a good sense of humor, this kind of situation could be frustrating or upsetting.
