WHOA… Was Diddy “responsible” for Jamie Foxx’s hospitalization?!
Last year, the Django Unchained star was suddenly hospitalized for reasons still largely unknown to this day. After months and months of recovery, the 56-year-old told a group of people in downtown Phoenix as much as he knows!
He told them what he remembers is coming down with a bad headache and asking a friend for Advil. The next thing he knew he woke up in the hospital and 20 days had passed! Whoa! Scary! He said he was treated with a cortisone shot and while pointing to his head, he told the crowd:
“The next doctor said something’s going on up there.”
Then while looking at the person recording, he eerily added:
“I won’t say it on camera. But it was…”

Whoa! Wait, who was this friend..?
A running theory has been that the Amazing Spider-Man 2 star suffered a stroke. Mike Tyson previously claimed as much but later retracted his words. To this day what left Jamie in the hospital is still unknown to the public. But there’s a new rumor slithering around out there about what happened… And Jamie was supposedly the one who started it!
The In Living Color alum has reportedly taped a new comedy special for Netflix earlier this month called What Had Happened Was. Typically for comedy specials, multiple nights of the show are taped, and the best of the footage is used for the end result. Jamie allegedly had three days of shooting on October 4, 5, and 6, and a producer by the name of Choke No Joke claims to have been present for the first and the third day of shooting. And he’s teasing we’re going to hear some jaw-dropping claims!
In a video posted by Comedy Hype on YouTube earlier this month, the producer shared some bombshell info about what was allegedly included in Jamie’s material. He tells the interviewer:
“Jamie has a special coming out on Netflix called What Had Happened Was, and I went to the taping of it. It was three days of taping. I went to the first show; I went to the last show. Jamie Foxx states in the special that Diddy was responsible for what happened to him and he is the one who called the FBI on him.”
WHOA, WHAT??!!
The interviewer quickly asks, “So it’s gotta be a joke, right?” And Choke responds:
“I don’t think he was joking. Y’all can determine whether he was joking or not when you see the show. I’m a new comedian, right? … I know when somebody’s setting up a punchline, and I know when you’re serious.”
That’s a BIG claim to be spreading around… At this point we really have no clue if there’s even a shred of truth to it as Jamie himself hasn’t said anything publicly — yet. Apart from the special recordings, of course. But we don’t know if he even says what Choke is claiming — nor if his alleged claim will make it into the final cut for the Netflix special, but we guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
As for why Jamie allegedly claimed Diddy was behind his hospitalization, Choke claimed:
“There was a rumor, I can’t say if it’s [true] because I wasn’t there, but there’s been a rumor that the whole time when Jamie out, for the industry insiders, Diddy had did that to him. He caught Jamie filming allegedly or whatever. They told Jamie to chill, he didn’t chill, and allegedly Diddy and his security beat Jamie’s ass and that’s why Jamie was in the hospital. Allegedly, right? But then there’s the thing where they’re saying they gave him some type of pill or something that knocked him out, but it all was allegedly connected back to Diddy because something happened with Diddy and Jamie.”
Whoa. You can watch the full interview (below):
Remember, EVERYTHING said here should be taken with a grain of salt. But inneresting to ponder nonetheless… Page Six later reached out to Choke to comment, and he told the outlet he’s as surprised as anyone Jamie would make the alleged comments publicly.
He also claimed that attendees’ phones were confiscated at the tapings — pretty normal for a comedy taping — but that when he got his back, he took a selfie with Jamie. He definitely did seem to be there…
