Jada Pinkett Smith shares glimpse of meaningful trip across the world with daughter Willow
Jada Pinkett Smith, 52, is starting the new year by helping others, and she’s bringing her 23-year-old daughter Willow Smith with her. They flew from California to India, where they posted photos from their visit to a government school.
The celebrity shared pictures and a video of herself and Willow giving food to students at the school, smiling as they interacted with many students and teachers. Her caption simply said, “Thank you,” and the post received comments like “Thissssssss” and “Love thisss,” along with numerous heart emojis.
Jada, who has a daughter Willow and son Jaden (25) with her husband Will Smith, has been separated from him since 2016, but they remain committed to supporting each other and have stated that they don’t plan to get divorced.
The family, which included Jada’s mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris and Will’s son Trey with his ex-wife Sheree Zampino, posed cheerfully for this year’s Christmas card. Jada talked about her difficult upbringing—which included an unstable home environment and an absent father—in an interview with The Drew Barrymore Show.

On Drew’s show, she shared her own experience of having an addict father, actor John Drew Barrymore, and said, “That wasn’t the bond I expected to have with you.” Jada responded, “I’ve had to learn how to listen because they are living a life that I don’t know. I can relate more to the upbringing of their cousins than them necessarily because I didn’t grow up in a lifestyle like that. So I’ve had to learn.”
Despite revealing her separation in 2023, she continued to praise her husband in a conversation with Fearne Cotton on the Happy Place podcast, describing him as “all sky” and discussing what initially attracted her to him.
