Jada Pinkett Smith says she ‘hasn’t been able to get away from Will Smith’ after David Blaine performed ‘crazy’ magic trick to spice up their ‘connection.’
Jada Pinkett Smith shared that she was ’emotional’ over a magic trick performed on her and her estranged husband, Will Smith. The Set It Off alum recalled how illusionist David Blaine brought her to tears during a personal performance for the couple, explaining, ‘[Blaine] did something so crazy with Will and I… He touched Will’s shoulder, and I felt it but Will didn’t.’
The actress described feeling deeply connected to her partner during the experience, saying, ‘I cried, it was emotional,’ before jokingly adding, ‘Blaine was showing the connection between us, and I haven’t been able to get away from Will since showing that connection.’
‘Like, blame it on David, we are really connected,’ she quipped.
Although she didn’t specify when it occurred, Jada described the incident as a ‘crazy experience’ and referred to David Blaine as ‘otherworldly,’ stating she ‘doesn’t mess’ with him. Following their cozy dinner date at Nobu Malibu shortly after New Year’s Eve, Jada and Will have shared few details about their marriage, but Jada revealed that her husband’s shocking Oscars slap had ultimately saved their marriage.

Jada also mentioned she hasn’t spoken with Chris Rock since the incident, expressing her desire for peace amid the misunderstandings surrounding the event. She admitted they were living separately when her husband confronted Rock onstage at the Oscars.
She mentioned that no final decisions have been made about their marriage’s future, stating that she and Will are ‘still figuring it out.’ ‘We’ve been doing some really heavy-duty work together,’ she said. ‘We just have deep love for each other, and we are going to figure out what that looks like.’ Jada also praised her children – Jaden, Willow, and Trey, Will’s son from a previous relationship – for supporting her during this challenging time in her relationship.
