Jada Pinkett Smith and Will’s family divided as she reveals kids habits.
Jada Pinkett Smith revealed on the Off Menu podcast that her family disagrees on one thing while discussing food and family with British comedians Ed Gamble and James Acaster. She discussed her favorite cuisines and disclosed some unexpected details about her personal life.
Jada said she’s not much into food, but Willow and Will are big food lovers.
“My daughter is a hardcore foodie, and so is Will. Hardcore foodies, so I’ve had to learn how to enjoy meals”, she revealed.
When asked about her son Jaden’s food preferences, Jada mentioned that he isn’t much into food, and her stepson Trey falls somewhere in the middle. James suggested that Jaden might need to explore food more, but the hosts agreed that the family has diverse relationships with food. Jada attributed her unique food perspective to her grandmother.

“My grandmother probably was the only West Indian that I know that can’t cook”, she laughed, “So she would make stuff like cow tongue with cream cheese in the crock pot.”
Jada learned from her grandmother that food is mainly for nutrition, not enjoyment, which is why she doesn’t see herself as a food enthusiast like her daughter and husband.
Jada shared that her family has different views on eating, and she recounted an experience with magician David Blaine who demonstrated a unique connection between her and Will. Despite Will not feeling it, Jada felt a sensation when Blaine touched Will’s shoulder during a trick, which left her emotional and amazed.
“He was like showing the connection between us”, she said, before joking, “and I haven’t been able to get away from Will since because of that connection!”
“I blame it on David! We are really connected!” she chuckled.
Her bond with her husband faced a challenge when she disclosed in October that they had been apart for seven years, still legally married, and were focused on rebuilding their relationship.
