In the most recent book by Walter Isaacson, “Elon Musk,” both the founder of SpaceX and the CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, and the famed Aquaman actor, Amber Heard, openly discuss their relationship.
After making their relationship public in April 2017, the pair began a journey that was not without its ups and downs. They ultimately made the decision to permanently split up in 2018.
The biography’s “Rocky Relationships” chapter, written by Isaacson, explores the nuances of their relationship.
He admits that Heard’s role in the 2013 movie “Machete Kills” was what initially piqued Musk’s interest in her. The beginning of their intertwined journey began when Heard visited the SpaceX facilities a year after their paths had crossed.

Isaacson claims that Musk gave Heard a ride in a Tesla during her visit to SpaceX, based on Heard’s narrative in the book.
Isaacson also divulges fascinating information regarding their romance. He claims that Musk traveled to Australia in April 2017 to visit Heard while she was immersed in the Aquaman filming.
Additionally, there’s a lighthearted narrative about Heard ordering a costume to indulge in some roleplay as a character Musk thought was similar to her: Mercy from the well-known video game Overwatch.
Isaacson dives into the tough parts of Heard and Musk’s journey together, bringing up a contentious argument they had near the end of it. This conflict occurred in December 2017 while Musk’s brother Kimbal Musk was present, during a family trip in South America.
Heard allegedly informed Isaacson of the disagreement. However, she also offered photographic proof of their evening’s activities afterwards, including pictures and videos that showed the actress and tech mogul enjoying a heartfelt New Year’s Eve kiss.

Musk stated in his biography his thoughts on their connection as follows:”It was brutal.” For her part, heard told Isaacson that she still loves her ex “very much,” and added: “Elon loves fire, and sometimes it burns him.”
In the book, Kimbal expressed his sorrow to Isaacson, stating that he finds it “deeply unfortunate” that his brother tends to develop affection for individuals who, in his view, treat him unkindly.
When Isaacson inquired about his tendency to be drawn to such individuals, , “Because I’m just a fool for love. I am often a fool, but especially for love.”
