Global Distribution Secured for Johnny Depp’s Newest Animated Film
In advance of the next AFM show in Los Angeles this month, the animated movie “Johnny Puff: Secret Mission,” starring Johnny Depp, has acquired global distribution.
“Secret Mission” chronicles the exploits of Johnny Puff (played by Depp), who sets out on an important quest to help his Puffin friends save their beloved village, Taigasville, from the evil plots of the antagonist, Otto von Walrus.
A spin-off from the “Puffins” television series, this movie uses footage from earlier episodes to create a seamless 85-minute viewing experience.
The animated film has already been acquired by a number of territories, including German-speaking Europe (Little Brother), Korea (AK Entertainment), Spain (Melies), Portugal (NOS Audiovisuais), the Middle East (FrontRow), and Turkey (Wediacorp), as was first reported by deadline.
The movie “Johnny Puff: Secret Mission,” which is being directed by Nestor F. Dennis and produced by Iervolino & Lady Bacardi Entertainment (famous for “Ferrari”), is progressing well.

To obtain a North American distributor and distribute the film there before its international launch in Q1 2024, negotiations are now underway.
The creation of “Johnny Puff: Secret Mission” was a joint project between Melies Producciones’ Cristobal Rodriguez and Nestor F. Dennis, with assistance from the American businesses WWPS and Evolution. Iuvit, an Italian business, is in charge of this project’s sales duties.
In the meantime, Johnny Depp is hard at work making “Modi,” a biographical movie about Amedeo Modigliani. Depp not only plays the lead role but also serves as the film’s director. He is represented by Range Media Partners, but Nestor F. Dennis is protected by Palao Bernabeu Abogados.
